Seen a ghost Nicola?

With her wide eyes and startled expression, it seemed something had shocked Nicola Roberts last night.

But the singer hadn’t seen a ghost – instead it was the trouble of climbing out her car in high heels, juggling a designer handbag and bouquet of lilies, which had unnerved her.

The 24-year-old had just performed onstage at Wembley with her Girls Aloud bandmates, supporting Coldplay and Jay Z.
But as she and boyfriend Charlie Fennell returned to their hotel following the gig, he left her carrying the bags as they climbed out the car.

Last night’s show was a reunion for the singers, who are enjoying a year off to pursue other projects.
Nicola had said she was looking forward to getting back on stage.

‘We’ve had the summer off. I’ve been in St Tropez for three weeks, I’ve sunned myself, I’ve had a blowout with my friends from Liverpool, and I’m ready to get back on stage now,’ she said.

But she insisted that the group weren’t going to change their show to appeal to Coldplay’s fans.

‘Coldplay asked us to do the gig because they like what we do,’ she told BBC Radio 5 live.
