Nicola designs her very own Renault Twingo!
Nicola is a VERY lucky girl. She got to design an interior for a car!
To support the market launch of New Twingo, Renault is creating a unique and entertaining artistic experience
Four artists with “twinguesque” genes express their view of the world: joyous, optimistic, clever and bold, just like the compact city car. Renault is giving the main artistic disciplines – fashion, music, design, cooking – an opportunity to express themselves in a bright and original environment: by making over the interior of New Twingo.
Other designers include French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, a man of multiple talents, Italian chef Davide Scabin renowned for his creative cooking, and pragmatic German designer, Nils Holger Moormann, who finds new uses for everyday objects.

Nicola Roberts would love to design her own range of shoes.
The Girls Aloud singer – who is renowned for her fashion choices – has recently created a pair of shoes to accompany her debut solo album ‘Cinderella Eyes’ and admitted working on her own shoe collection would be a dream come true.
She said: “I love fashion and I love the way that clothes can make you feel. I also kind of respect it so much that I would never just take my position for granted in the fact that would just throw a clothing line out. I would love to do a shoe collection. I have just designed a shoe for the album campaign because the record is called Cinderella’s eyes it’s my take on the modern day glass slipper, so to have fun with something like a shoe collection would be amazing.”
Nicola has previously developed her own make-up range Dainty Doll and is thrilled high street pharmacy Boots will now be selling the brand online and in stores.
Talking to Alex Baker on Gaydar Radio, she said: “The whole team is so proud that we have managed to get Boots on board. They’re backing the brand which is just incredible. It is a dream come true in terms of developing the makeup range. It is a store that I grew up going into and real women and real girls go into everyday and to be able have my line in there is just really amazing.”
Nicola creates shoes with Atalanta Weller for solo campaign
NICOLA ROBERTS has collaborated with rising shoe designer Atalanta Weller to create the shoe she will wear as she launches her solo career – and the designer revealed the Girls Aloud star was very involved in the process.
“A collaboration is like a good conversation,” Weller told us. “Nicola came to my studio a couple of times and I went to hers; we initially chatted about her music, the forthcoming album and how this related to her vision for the shoes. I went away and started designing my response to this. After our first meeting I was excited by her ideas and collaborating with people who have a strong vision is really fantastic. Nicola considers everything she does really carefully and has a totally clear view of what she wants to achieve. While the shoes are just a small part of this, I knew it would be interesting and fun to work together.”
“I think we are an unlikely pairing which is why I was intrigued when Nicola approached me about working together,” Weller – whose own collections have a more utilitarian feel – added. “I think that she has incredible style and she’s extremely distinctive, luxurious and original in the way she wears clothes. I have not collaborated like this before and the fact that it was for the launch of Nicola’s solo music career meant we could be quite experimental. Everything was new and fresh.”
Although the jewelled wedge won’t be available to buy, Weller insists there’s plenty for her fans to look forward to.
“The wedge is an Atalanta Weller signature shape so look out for it reinventing itself in my spring/summer 2012 collection,” she said. “My first collaboration was with Gareth Pugh and I’ve been fortunate to work with some fantastic designers from there on. There are some great things in the pipeline, so watch this space!”
