Nicola’s dress raises £327 for Alder Hey Childrens Hospital As we posted last week, Nicola donated her dress to the Alder Hey Childrens Hospital ‘Imagine Appeal’ to raise much needed money for them. The dress was then auctioned up on ebay with a starting price of £200. Bidding ended yesterday morning and we can reveal that the dress went to the highest bidder for £327! One single lucky fan has won Nicola’s dress that she has worn to perform in, talk about a Lucky Day! Not only that, but 100% of the money will help children at Alder Hey. Customers will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to wear one of Nicola Roberts’ of Girls Aloud’s bespoke stage costumes from the band’s recent tour, along with other celebrity outfits Shoppers will be able to browse the selection of garments and try things on for size between 26th November and 6th December, before the hire period which runs 7th – 23rd December. Dresses will be available to hire for one day, and following the dress hire period there will be the opportunity to enter a silent bid and be the life-long owner of their desired dress when it is auctioned. They are Girls Aloud‘s two most regular party girls and last night Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding put on a dazzling double act Sarah brightened up the evening in a below-the-knee gold and black sequinned dress, while Nicola went for old-fashioned glamour in a full-length emerald gown for the event at The Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair, London. Nicola, 24, towered in bright red heels, looking sophisticated at the star-studded event in aid of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Last week Sarah told Jonathan Ross she and her bandmates were taking a break from one another’s company, as well as the band. Girls Aloud was created through ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and has become one of the most successful British pop groups of the decade.
