Nicola Roberts wants fans bullying experiences

Nicola Roberts has urged her fans to share any experiences of bullying in schools ahead of her meeting with Britain’s Secretary of State for Education next week.

The Girls Aloud singer has worked hard to highlight bullying in society after she was taunted in the early days of her career for her pale skin and ginger hair, and she lobbied for a meeting with politician Michael Gove during a TV interview last year.

She’s been granted her request and will meet with the education chief on Monday (23Jan12) – and she’s eager to highlight any issues her followers may be experiencing.

In a post on her Facebook.com page, Roberts writes, “Can you help me? On Monday I am finally meeting Michael Gove the Educational Secretary. I want to find out what methods are in place for young victims of bullying and I’d like to see if there is any way of us working together to come up with a better support system for young people who are being bullied.

“I really need your help… Share your stories with me… Let me know what is happening at your school or college. Tell me what you think needs to change. I want to know how much or how little bullying is occurring. What is being done about it?

“The more I know about what’s Really happening the more we can make a difference… Share your stories with me publicly here on my facebook page or privately email me here: TellNicola@yahoo.com.”

Dainty Dolly Nicola means business

dainty doll nicolaSarah Harding isn’t the only member of Girls Aloud going back to school.

As the St Trinians star slips on a uniform for the movie sequel, bandmate Nicola Roberts is also ready to be a student again.

She’s sharpening her pencils and packing a lunch box before heading off to college to brush up on her beauty skills.

Nic plans to launch a new range of Dainty Dolly cosmetics next year. And she’s told pals she wants to do her homework before putting them in the shops.

Nicola is looking into college courses to swot up on how to create the products and the effects they have on the skin.

A pal told us: “Nicola is serious about her beauty range and doesn’t want to put her name to anything she’s not 100% sure of.

She wants to know the ins and outs of everything, which is why she’s looking into doing a course.

“The range started off as a bit of fun for the TV show Passions of Girls Aloud.

“But now she’s focused on making Dainty Dolly work and, if that means going back to school to learn about the business, then she’s prepared to do it.”
