As part of its Dress Me Up charity, Topshop is auctioning celebrities’ dresses.They were donated in December to hire out but now the party season is over, frocks will be sold in aid of Age Concern and Help the Aged. This could be your chance to own a beautiful beaded Lanvin dress donated by Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson’s Nanette Lepore animal-print mini dress or one of Nicola Roberts’ stage costumes from a Girls Aloud tour. Topshop’s Oxford Circus flagship store is exclusively offering the once in a lifetime chance for customers to take a walk through the wardrobes of its fabulous circle of fashion friends. Customers will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to wear one of Nicola Roberts’ of Girls Aloud’s bespoke stage costumes from the band’s recent tour, along with other celebrity outfits Shoppers will be able to browse the selection of garments and try things on for size between 26th November and 6th December, before the hire period which runs 7th – 23rd December. Dresses will be available to hire for one day, and following the dress hire period there will be the opportunity to enter a silent bid and be the life-long owner of their desired dress when it is auctioned. The standard edition is available on both DVD (out 5th October) and Blu-ray (out 12th October) and is loaded with extras. Play.com has released news on the ‘Out of Control‘ DVD – at last! The DVD will have 2 disks, one with the full show and the other with bonus features. Julian Perretta has revealed Girls Aloud would don wigs to hide in the crowd and watch him perform while he was supporting them on tour. The Ride My Star singer – who is heading to the US next month to join the Perez Hilton Presents tour – said he had a lot of fun on the road with the girlband earlier this year. Julian said: “They were lovely, really sweet and Nadine and Nicola would come and watch my set near enough every other night – they’d put wigs on and hats on and come and sit in the crowd which was quite funny.” |
