Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts is following in the footsteps of bandmate Cheryl Cole by landing her own TV show.

But unlike Chezza’s light entertainment fodder, Nic’s new programme will be ultra-serious.

She is shedding light on the dangerous world of “tanorexics” – women who are addicted to tanning products. The term – coined from anorexia – applies to sufferers who constantly think they look too pale.

Nicola, who battled the condition it in the past, will lift the lid on the issue in a BBC3 film.

The star, 24, has previously admitted: “I tried to cover up my insecurities by turning into a big-time tanorexic.

“I had every product from every range. It filled a shelf in my bathroom and no matter how exhausted I was, I needed my fix.”

The Sun today reports Sky 1 has got an exclusive deal to show this years sell out Girls Aloud Out of Control Tour 2009 on your TV screens!

Filmed last month at London’s 02, Sky 1 will air it sometime in August. Once the date is known we will let you know.

It will also be aired on Sky HD so you will be able to watch the tour in very good quality if you have a HD TV.

Fans are speculating that it might not be the full tour, they might miss songs out, so the dvd will have more on it and more people will buy it. This also happened with last years Tangled Up tour.
